February – The month of Love…
We are now over half way through the month of love so I thought I would do a little blog post to tell you all about the adventures of The Bridal Boutique this month.
First of all congratulations to everyone who got engaged on Valentines day, it is such a special day and a special time getting engaged. I hope these first days of your wedding planning adventure are truly memorable. Even if you didn’t get engaged I hope you had a lovely day filled with love and romance.
Whilst it is a day for couples I truly believe everyone deserves to be loved and we shouldn’t just be showing love on one day of the year but every day and love in a variety of forms including spreading kindness through the simplest of acts, even just a smile. I loved the idea of Galentines this year with so many women sharing the love with their girl tribe. I hate to rant about the commercialisation of Valentines day but encourage you all to share love and kindness every day.
This month has been a very exciting month for us as a business and as I type this I am sitting on a flight on the way back from my first European buying trip for the new 2020 St Patrick La Sposa collection. WOW is all I can say, what a whirl wind trip over this weekend flying to Madrid to experience the launch and rebranding of this amazing collection. I have never seen such beautiful gowns and am amazed at the craftsman ship, the details and the ability of the gowns to make me fall in love with them over and over again.
The weekend started early on Saturday morning 03:45 to be precise to get ready for my 06:00 flight to Paris and then onwards to Madrid from there with me arriving at 15:00 so a long day. The hotel was lovely and was close to the airport but due to being so tired when I arrived I ended up going for a nap and unfortunately did not see any of Madrid beyond the airport and the hotel. On the Saturday night we had a welcoming dinner which was such delicious food and fine wine, there was a dj and an open bar but I decided to be sensible and go to bed at about midnight save trying to look at dresses with a hangover.
Sunday morning started off bright and early with a brand presentation at 09:00, it was so good informative with some amazing information from the designers about the 2020 collection and information as the whole brand has been relaunched so it was amazing with such a buzz in the air and so amazing to hear so many languages from all over the world as bridal shops had travelled from near and far. Then it was showtime, the dresses had been guarded by security all night so it was fantastic to be allowed into the showrooms to see the beautiful collection for 2020. It is truly an amazing experience seeing all those beautiful dresses in one place.
I have only ever bought this collection from pictures before so it was an absolutely amazing experience wandering around the show room and seeing all 80 dresses in the collection. Amazing to feel the fabrics and see the dresses up close. Nothing beats the real deal and even though pictures are so beautiful you are best to see and feel a wedding dress in person as such. It was such a hard decision trying to narrow down the choices but after many hours I just managed and am excited to showcase the collection to you once they all arrive in the summer.
A lot of the minor details are a heavily guarded secret but these dresses are so romantic and dreamy. They are inspired by the story of love and I am delighted to say that they are more amazing than you can dream of and your wedding gown will certainly complete your love story…
Feeling very loved up right now with our collection of gorgeous gowns and accessories and am loving making all my brides dreams come true and adding to The Bridal Boutique Bridal Family.
